Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has launched a zero-fee ether mining pool until December 12th. The pool was launched seven months after the opening of the Bitcoin mining pool.
The management of the exchange announced that from November 12 to December 12, 2020, Binance will not charge a commission for mining ether in order to attract miners. After this period, the ETH mining fee will be 0.5%.
✅According to Binance's instructions for setting up a mining pool account, members must be running a Windows or Linux operating system, an AMD or Nvidia GPU with at least 4GB of graphics card memory, and HiveOS or Easy Miner mining software.
Binance's new pool will use the Fully-Pay-Per-Share (FPPS) model to pay rewards. This method is also used in the Binance Bitcoin mining pool, which uses a smart pool function, which allows participants to automatically switch their power to mine the most profitable of the three supported SHA-256 cryptocurrencies: BTC, BCH or BSV. In this case, the calculation is made in bitcoins.
